Gather Your Aging Right Wing Relatives Around And Watch This One!

January 7th, 2011

I need to send this one to all my relatives who are constantly sending me the ‘Jesus loves you so much but Obama is the anti-christ and we need to pray him the hell off this planet e-mails’. Do ya think it would open their minds?

Comments

  • Sharon:

Black Muslim Nazi is the worst kind of Nazi….LOL

  • MrsD:

Silly. Nothing short of a nuclear bomb (and I question that!) is going to open their minds. *sigh*

  • The worst kind of Nazi, killin me! He’s so damn funny. Did you ever watch that TV show he used to be on where he faked having a head injury so he never had to work and people took care of him?! So funny! But, if I thought this would stop my parents from sending me those gosh darned emails about Obama being the anti-christ I would sure show them. But, sadly, I know it wouldn’t make a difference. I suspect the same could be said of your relatives, unfortunately.

    • NCme:

I can’t remember the name of the show but I do remember the episode! I think it was the one where he kept signing, “Chicken pot, chicken pot, chicken pot piiiiiiie!” ha ha!

      • Yes!!!

      • Megan:

Just Shoot Me. He played Donnie. Absolutely some of the best television ever.

    • Jennifer:

Pants tight, pants tight! Awesome episode.

  • Not only is he a Black Muslim Nazi but he’s trying to give everyone health care! What a monster.
Maybe you should send this out as an internet Valentine’s day card to those relatives, Rechelle.

  • DirtyKSmama - Nikki:

I’m laughing so hard I’m in tears. That was like a reenactment of visits with my neighbors – and they’re the ones who bring up the government and God every darn time!

  • Wow, I could swear he just repeated verbatim things I’ve heard certain friends and family members say.

  • Hell, I’ve heard the young ones spout this crap too!

    • Rechelle:

      Yes, absolutely.

  • Oh…..His “Conservative-speak” sounds. Just. Like. My. In-laws….

I’ve got to post to my FB wall….

  • Do you think this video would make John Boehner cry?

  • Skattebol:

This gentleman is so spot on in so many, many areas…. I could write a thesis, but he has cohesively summed up many of my arguments, so it would be unnecessary for me to say what I would like to say. But more importantly, it seems unnecessary to voice an opinion here. Because Rechelle has a following that, for the most part, agrees with this gentleman and with her (thank the FUCKING goddess). This shit needs to be out promoted elsewhere, where there are conservatives are reading… Where are these sites??? Yes, there is the PW site, where there is a huge following (which I cannot still understand), but she deletes any comments in which people are not kissing her fucking ass, so any links to this video or suggestions to promote this would be futile. SO where else is there a medium in the internet world to again get these rational thoughts out there?
Just in health care, reform is necessary and conservatives continue and continue to shoot reform down, despite the quantitative data that absolutely supports we (the US) fall behind many other nations in important health outcomes….
I want to beat my head against the wall sometimes,
A nurse frustrated with this chaotic system called US health care,

  • Alison:

I never comment on political items anymore because it turns ugly so fast. I just want to point out that my problem with liberal relatives did not start with President Obama. I remember President Bush coming on the TV screen and my peace loving Aunt made a gun with her fingers, pointed it at Bush, and said ‘I’d love to put a bullet between that man’s eyes.’ I also read the book John Adams during the Bush presidency. I had to laugh when I read about Adams passing a law that imprisoned journalists who spoke out about him. This has been going on since the begining of our country. The only president most people could agree on was Washington.
I also want to say that not all conservatives fit this stereotype. If you want to talk about the reasons we rank high in infant mortality, low in healthcare, etc. I’ll happily talk about it without resorting to ad hominem attacks. I have a good friend on facebook who is a liberal and we joke about the stereotypes: him the effiminate, latte sipping, academic and me the uneducated, bigoted, southern, Christian, conservative. We’ve both learned a lot from each other and our LOOOOONG conversations via facebook. We have a mutual respect for each other and can understand the other’s position. We’ve even found that, gasp!, we have a lot in common! Shocking.
I’m heading out of town so I won’t be able to respond to comments. Which may be for the best LOL. Just wanted to add my two cents. I love your blog Rechelle and I’ve been a long time reader—back when you where the country doctors wife. You always challenge me and I find myself questioning and researching my opinions and beliefs in a new way. Thank you.

  • Alison:

BTW, I love the blog No Longer Quivering. I have friends that subscribe to that belief system and it’s been a real eye opener for me. Little things I would notice that were odd about their family have now become huge warning signs for me. I fear for their children–especially their oldest daughter. It’s a great read.

  • Nancy:

Oh geez. That’s just like my brother. We were raised in the same dysfunctional household, I don’t understand how he could have gone so wrong.

They’re all the same – either side. This video did make me miss Arrested Development, however. Now that was some BRILLIANT writing!

The Brothers Winn are so TOTALLY worth spending an entire day or two watching. Logic is a wonderful thing.
