Dear Charles

December 4th, 2010

Dear Charles came for a visit last weekend. We spent most of our time together laughing very hard. Charles is one of those people whose laughter comes up from the bottom of his feet and then spills out of his eyes and his ears and his hair follicles. In other words, when Charles is laughing, the whole world laughs with him. He told me lots of funny stories, but the funniest one concluded with an imitation of his grandmother’s meal time prayer. It is honestly the funniest thing I have heard in months. When he recounted this prayer, I was driving him to my house and I started to convulse with laughter so hard that I could barely keep the car on the road. I tried to get him to let me film it, but he wouldn’t cooperate. Dangit! Maybe by next Thanksgiving I can wear him down.

Rechelle, you’re such a tease! What is Charles making in this photo? Will there be more photos? Detailed accounts of witticisms? Charles’s fan base awaits!

I thought Charles was a made-up character! Is he a friend or relative? is this really Charles????

    • Rechelle:

Old friends and peanut butter balls….perfect combination.
