My boys have a new obsession. They’ve been making these all summer long.
Thanks Linda for your passionate and honest message. I will pick a winner for the Frank Schaeffer book tonite. Tweet
I was introduced to the writing of Frank Schaeffer via his book Crazy For God several years ago. I loved the book and wrote about it here. On that post, a reader left a comment asking me if I had read any of Schaeffer’s fiction books. I had not and I tucked that comment away in my brain in hopes that someday it would resurface at just the exactly right moment when I was in need of a new book [...]
We hosted Thanksgiving this year. Twenty-seven of my husband’s closest relatives stayed at our house for four days. We went hiking and played board games and watched ballgames and went to the movies and The Oracle Known as Steve staged a coup and tried to take over my kitchen, but I bravely fended him off with a carving knife, a rusty old egg beater and a very pokey meat thermometer. And yet, even as he bled out from oozing puncture [...]
Because the Christmas tree photo was getting a wee bit tiresome.
With mincing alacrity, Dear Charles takes on Lee Strobel’s “The Case for Christ” and startling questions arise!!!

Oh jeez can Beer Pong really be all that far behind?
Very nice! I love when they make the shot and calmly walk off screen. “*shrug* Yup, I sank it. What of it?”
skills for college.
40 years from now, your boys: “Remember that summer we did pong tricks?”
You know, they’ve actually got a TOY on the market now. We just saw the commercials this past weekend. I was stunned when I saw a cup and a ping-pong ball in the ad and thought “that’s actually a toy they SELL?!” Clearly your boys are ahead of the trend! :)
Cute! (Or wicked? What’s the current term?) It’s cool that they’re figuring out the angles and speed — educational! And playing with digital media is educational too. I see wood constructions, so wonder if the CD had a hand in this.
Very cute! Are they practicing for “A Minute to Win It”?
I was thinking, “That’s pretty cute :)”, but they posted a second one, and they’re even better in that one :o
Clearly, they’ve been doing this ALL summer.
Skillz.
Clearly fun on many levels. I watched “tornado” just for good measure. It was as good as I expected!
