Their merchants sell all locally grown fruits and veggies. And, there's a great stand at 74th and Metcalf in Overland Park, right in the lot at the Christian college there. The couple who runs the stand have a farm in Gardner, KS, and they sell Monday-Saturday. They have the best corn right now, as well as tomatoes, peaches, and the green beans should be coming in soon! Mr. Kay in KCMO and I used to be frequent denizens of the city market in KC on Saturday mornings. Then it dawned on us that hardly anyone actually grew what they were selling; they were just unloading shipments from produce distributors. We haven't been back in years. It looks like the vendors in Manhattan actually grew their own stuff. Wow, that all looks so good. Mr. Kay in KCMO and I used to be frequent denizens of the city market in KC on Saturday mornings.
