Prom Fashion 2010

May 9th, 2010

  • Kay in KCMO:

Good dresses. Some of them really interesting and in a good way. I wore Gunne Sax, I think.

  • GA in GA:

OM Goodness! The dress you for which you liked the spunk . . . I can see my DD choosing, just to hack off her mom! Thank goodness I have a few more years before I face this one!

  • Anonymous:

    The boys make nice accessories.

  • Some of those dresses just are too “Old” looking for a young, girl.
I don’t like to see a 17 yr. old looking like a “Real Housewife of Orange County”!
You can still look sexy, but fresh, young sexy!

  • The black and white dress with the ruffle is rockin’, but I think some of these dresses are too stripper-ish for my taste. I know my dad wouldn’t have let me out of the house in some of those low in the back or mini-dresses. I know it’s the style now, but I think the stripper/hooker fad is one that might be regretted later, and not in an 80s, big-hair-too-much-eye-shadow kind of way.

I didn’t get to go to my prom. Dad caught me ditchin’ classes and he took my dress back. It’s been 30 years, and I’m still pissed about it. (Did he have to take the dress back? That just seems like kicking someone when they’re down.)

    The girls look….lovely.

  • CAROL S.:

How fun. How old is your son? VERY handsome guy. Around here, just the seniors and dates go to prom, and why did I think your oldest was around 16? Do tell!

    • Rechelle:

He’s a freshman. He got asked by a junior in his math class.
